Liberty Delivers Once Again for Growing Restaurant Chain
Commack, NY-On July 15th, Liberty Moving and Storage crew members were out in full force on Bleeker Street delivering new equipment for fast growing NYC restaurant chain Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ). The Bleeker Street location marked the 10th new LPQ restaurant that Liberty has handled in the last few years.
Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ), also known as Het Dagelijks Brood in Belgium, is an international chain of Belgian bakeries and restaurants serving soup, salads, tartines, breakfast, homemade pastries and handmade organic bread—made with organic ingredients. The company was founded by Belgian chef Alain Coumont. The name Le Pain Quotidien is French for "Daily Bread".
Liberty’s role in the chaotic effort of opening a new LPQ location is as follows:
- Receive, inspect and inventory shipments from 10-15 different equipment manufacturers
- Prep selected equipment (ie- putting wheels on under counter refrigerators)
- Coordinate delivery schedules with general contractor and LPQ project manager
- White glove inside delivery to job site
- Minor assembly of shelving and other equipment
- Removal of debris from job site
Liberty also handles equipment swap outs for LPQ locations in Los Angeles and Washington DC when old equipment needs to be replaced.

Commack, NY-On April 15, 2010, Liberty Moving and Storage was recognized for its efforts in providing local relief support to Haiti by Suffolk Legislator, John M. Kennedy Jr. in front of Liberty’s headquarters in New York.

Liberty received numerous awards for its efforts in collecting, warehousing and trucking supplies into Ground Zero rescue workers back in 2001 after the collapse of the Twin Towers. Liberty is a third generation moving company celebrating its 70th year in business.

Liberty Moves Conan O’Brien Show out of NYC
Commack, NY- Liberty Moving and Storage was hired by NBC Universal to move the entire Conan O’Brien Show out of 30 Rock in NYC to a new facility in Burbank, California.
The two week long project culminated with numerous move meetings between Liberty Senior VP Anthony Federico and Conan’s coordination team. After analyzing the floor plans for the new Burbank facility, Liberty created an elaborate colored tagging and inventory plan to ensure that all show items were properly identified according to their placement at the various floors/rooms at destination.
One of the hallmarks of this project was the extensive amount of specialized packing performed by Liberty. Liberty provided packing services for the archive tape library, the show wardrobe, the band instruments and a wide array of high value props used during the Conan O’Brien Show. Many of the items packed up were extremely valuable and of unconventional dimensions. In addition, Liberty packed up all of the private offices of the executives involved in the show, including Conan O’Brien.
A total of 5 tractor trailer loads of furniture, fixtures and props were carefully inventoried, packed and transported to California. All goods arrived at the new location on time and in perfect condition.
