Executive Biographies

Michael Federico, President and CEO

Michael Federico has been President and CEO of Liberty Moving and Storage since 1973. He has over 50 years of valuable experience in the moving industry. Since taking over as President, Michael has been instrumental in changing Liberty from a local residential moving company to a full service global logistics company. His vision of diversifying into interstate, international and commercial moving was essential to Liberty’s growth on the 70’s and 80’s. Michael’s vast experience includes all phases of Operations, Driver Safety, Warehousing/Storage , Sales and Supervision. His strong leadership and hands-on experience have brought Liberty to where it is today and will carry it to the next generation.

Michael Federico Jr., Vice President, Commercial Division

Michael Federico Jr. is the Vice President of Commercial Sales, responsible for overseeing Liberty’s commercial moving, new product warehousing, record storage and installation businesses. Mike Jr. has been involved in the moving business for over 25 years. He joined Liberty at the age of 16, working on the trucks and assisting in warehousing duties. After joining Liberty full time in 1992, Mike immersed himself into learning the nuances of office/industrial moving and Liberty’s record storage division. In 1997, Mike Jr. was promoted to Vice President of Commercial Sales and has been instrumental in positioning Liberty in the top tier of commercial relocation companies in New York.

Anthony Federico, Vice President, Residential Sales and National Accounts

Anthony is currently in charge of Liberty’s Residential Sales Department and growing National Accounts Division. He began his career in the moving industry when he was 12 years old, sweeping floors in Liberty’s Hauppauge warehouse. After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Management in 1995, Anthony began his full time career with Liberty in the Operations Department as a Dispatcher. He quickly became an expert on the nuances of interstate transportation and residential moving. In 2003, Anthony was appointed Vice President of Household Sales/National Accounts. He has unparalleled expertise in setting up and managing employee relocation programs for Fortune 500 companies such as Estee Lauder, Arrow Electronics, Jet Blue and Avon Products. Anthony is certified as a Household Tariff Expert and Certified Moving Consultant by the AMSA (American Moving & Storage Association).

Cindy Federico, Director of Human Resources

Cindy Federico is currently in charge of recruitment, hiring and human resources functions at Liberty Moving. Cindy joined Liberty in 1987 on a part time basis to assist in the management of office activities. She quickly developed an understanding employee training, development and retention policies. Cindy was instrumental in implementing a formal Training and Quality Control Program for all incoming employees and developing the Employee Manual. She has improved employee retention by implementing benefit packages such as 401k, medical/dental insurance, life insurance and disability programs.
